Go First Principle

Monish Subherwal

The Go-First Principle basically states that you can’t wait for others.  That is reactive.  Instead, go-first.  Give first, raise your hand first, speak up first.  Don’t wait for anyone.

When you go-first, a few things tend to happen:

  1. You stop waiting for others to make your situation better.
  2. Other people tend to relax and follow after you went first.  Going first is sometimes leading by example.
  3. You become more proactive in solving your own problems.
  4. You develop leadership skills.

In conclusion, GO-FIRST.
